2023 Awards Presentation and Rowing Tasmania AGM
Rowing Tasmania's 111th Annual General Meeting and the 2023 Rowing Tasmania Awards Presentation function will be held on Friday 25th August at the Tamar Rowing Club, 14 West Tamar Rd, Launceston.
In a break from the traditional format the Awards Presentation will precede the AGM.

Call for Board Nominations
As notified on the RT website and in an e-communication sent to members on Tuesday 11th July 2023, the CEO of Rowing Tasmania has called for Elected Director Nominations, pursuant to clause 15.1 of the Rowing Tasmania Constitution 2019.
The Board of Rowing Tasmania has determined to meet the Tasmanian Government's Women on Boards Strategy 2020-2025 by dedicating one of the two vacancies up for election or be for female nominees.

Barrington Lodge accommodation ballot
Expressions of interest are now being called for the season ballot for 2023-2024 Barrington Lodge accommodation. EOIs close at midnight on 16th July.
The lease agreement will be for all RT regattas, Friday and Saturday nights, as below (excluding Junior Sculling weekend and the Tasmanian Masters Regattas):
- Schools Regatta 1
- Schools Regatta 2
- State Club Regatta 3
- State Club Regatta 4
- State Club Regatta 5
- State Club Regatta 6
- Tasmanian Club Championships
- Tasmanian School Championships
- Head of the River (Friday night only)

World University Games
Rowing Tasmania wouldl like to wish one of our rowers ,Sophie Robinson (TIS/TUBC), all the best when she competes for Australia at the World University Games in Chengdu, China, at the end of this month. Sophie will row in the LW2X with Maggie Foley (Corio Bay RC). Row well!
Keen to try Coastal Rowing?
Lindisfarne Rowing Club is offering use of its coastal boats to clubs and schools interested in giving coastal rowing a go, on a try before you buy basis. All coastal boats at LRC are from Swift Racing via Perfect Balance Rowing and are ideal for beginners and experienced coastal rowers alike. LRC has modified its trailer to transport the coastal quads and doubles, which allows it to explore other waterways around the state.

The 2023 Australian Coastal Rowing & Beach Sprints Championships are at Mooloolaba Beach, Queensland, from 27-30 July.

Rowing Australia announces new CEO
Rowing Australia has announced the appointment of Sarah Cook OLY as the new Chief Exective Officer. Sarah is currently Chief Operating Officer of Rowing Australia, the Continental Representative for Oceania on the World Rowing Council, and a Steward of Henley Royal Regatta. She takes over the role from outgoing CEO Ian Robson at the end of July.
