Tasports Shipping Movements Quicklink

Published Wed 02 Oct 2019

For the attention of all Schools , Clubs and Coaches:

Hi All.
We have had a number of VERY SERIOUS incidents where crews and  coaches for example have come within either the 90 metre exclusion zone for berthing vessels or in one case a group of scullers proceeding to row across the bow of a docking cruise liner causing the liner to sound its horn and reverse engines, not an easy feet at 250 metes plus in length.
I have just put a new Quick Link button on the RT websites front page showing the TasPorts Logo please use this link for information on what is coming into your respective ports.
Screen Shot 1.

By clicking on this link this will take you from the Front Page to the Tasport's site which will give you access to the shipping movements for the State.
Screen Shot 2.
Please click on your respective area and you can then see what vessels over 35 meters will be coming into port and how you can then plan avoiding them (NOTE: movements to the Synchro Lift in Launceston will be shown under Bell Bay), this will also include Cruise ships. Below is Hobart's schedule for the 30th as an example .
Screen Shot 3.

If your not sure please call Tasport's Operations on 1300 366 742 for more information.

"Safety starts with you!!"

Any questions please call.

Cheers
