Tasmanian University Boat Club invites new members
In recent years TUBC has established a solid, successful management group that is accompanied by an experienced coaching team.
TUBC–Tasmania’s premier rowing club–has won the State premiership three times over the past four years and has been Tasmania’s leading performer at the National championships for the past two years, winning 14 medals.
An opportunity is now available for you to take your school rowing experiences to the next level, or you may be just looking for a change. Perhaps you want to try rowing for the first time.
It can all happen at TUBC.
TUBC’s 2018 Winter Training Program starts the first week of May, preparing athletes for six state pennant regattas, State Championships , the University Games and
the National Championships in Sydney in March 2019.
The club recently took delivery of 12 new boats, with two more soon to arrive. The University of Tasmania is very keen to keep developing its brand and continue its support of our boat club and athletes.
TUBC offers a holistic approach to rowing inviting all ages, Masters, Para rowers, Invictus Games participants, social rowers and social members to be part of a welcoming and supportive club.
TUBC has a strong and well-established association with Rowing Tasmania and Rowing Australia. We support their development programs, training camps, time trials and selection policies. Having this connection gives our athletes access to State and TIS coaches, the latest training techniques and the best opportunities to be selected for State or Australian crews.
