Scotch Oakburn College Head Coach - Junior position vacant

Scotch Oakburn College has a long and proud history in rowing in Tasmania and nationally. To assist and lead the boat club to continue this tradition the College has two exciting roles within the rowing program: Director of Rowing, and Head Coach (Junior) – see position descriptions attached or visit the College’s website. Both roles are for a three (3) year/season tenure finishing in June 2025 and may be applied for separately or as a combined role, depending on the experience and qualifications of the individual.

HEAD COACH (Junior)

Scotch Oakburn College is seeking a Head Coach to focus on leading and developing the Scotch Oakburn College Junior coaching team for the 2022 – 2025 rowing seasons. This is a part-time position commencing in Term 3, 2022. Hours of work will vary throughout the rowing season and will include early mornings plus some weekend work.

Selection Criteria:

1.Experience and qualifications in coaching and leading a successful rowing program.

2.Demonstrated ability to provide dynamic and pro-active leadership in an educational sporting environment.

3.Demonstrated capacity to positively contribute, providing innovation to the College’s rowing program.

4.Demonstrated ability to encourage teamwork and be part of a committed team.

5.Demonstrated high-level of interpersonal and communication skills.

6.Demonstrated commitment to personal professional learning.

7.Current HLTAID012 First Aid qualification (Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
