Rowing Tasmania Audit and Risk Committees positions vacant

Rowing Tasmania is seeking suitably qualified persons to join its Audit and Risk Committee. The Committee has oversight of the financial reporting processes; the effectiveness of Rowing Tasmania’s internal control systems, risk management systems and internal audit functions, compliance with legislation and regulations and governance framework.

The Committee comprises of a Chair who will be appointed to the Board of Rowing Tasmania as a Director for a three-year term and two volunteer Committee members who serve a one year term.

The Chair will be required to attend a minimum of five Board meetings per year.

Selection Criteria.

Applicants should demonstrate experience in at least one of the following areas:

Conversant with the financial reporting requirements.

Understanding of business or financial management/reporting.

Knowledge of current issues facing sport.

Knowledge pertaining to governance and risk within a sporting organisation.
