Expression of Interest
Tasmanian Commission Member.
Rowing Tasmania is calling for Expression of Interest from the Tasmanian Master's Community for a representative member to sit on the Rowing Australia Masters Commission.
The representative should:
- Have involvement in the Tasmanian Masters rowing community.
- Be of good standing.
- To be both objective and informed on all aspects of Masters rowing.

MISSION
To provide leadership for an active inclusive community of Masters rowers at all levels of participation and competition.
STRATEGIES
- Development of guidelines for the efficient and effective management of Masters rowing regattas.
- To review opportunities at all regattas for the Masters' community to compete, achieve and enjoy fun, fitness, and social interaction regardless of age, gender, and skill.
- To communicate all relevant information to support members and Clubs, and provide a forum to address concerns, and to share and consider new ideas.
- to be a link to developments in Masters rowing internationally.
COMPOSITION
The Masters' Commission will comprise: - Seven general members, being one member from each state or territory. General members will be invited to join the Commission based on expressions of interest passed on to the Commission by the relevant State Association.
- One chairperson of the Commission. The Chairperson shall be recommended to the Rowing Australia Board by the Commission from the general members. Once elected the Chairperson shall stand-down as the general member from that state, and a new general member invited to join.
- One representative from the Organising Committee of the next Australian Masters Rowing Championships.
- One staff member from RA shall sit as secretary and a non-voting member.
