Regatta Season 2020-2021 UPDATE.

The coming regatta season will no doubt present all of us with some challenges and Rowing Tasmania would like to keep you updated on the preparation for the season.

Last week an experienced working group was formed to look at, initially, the regattas leading up to Christmas to see how we host events and remain within the conditions that have been set by the Tasmanian State Government.

Under the current COVID-19 regulations the MAXIMUM number permitted to attend an outdoor sporting event is 500 in total.

This has set us several challenges on how we conduct an event and the working party is looking at ways to achieve the aim of competition.

This season potentially, will not be the same as we have had in previous years but Rowing Tasmania is committed to having competition for our three groups, Club, Masters, and School.

The working group will prepare a report which will be presented to the Board on the 29^th of August and we will then advise you of the outcomes.

Rowing Tasmania is committed to holding events that meet both the State Government guidelines and provide a safe environment for the rowing community.
