Parking changes at Lake Barrington
Published Fri 22 Feb 2019
CHANGE TO VEHICLE ACCESS AT LAKE BARRINGTON FOR THE KING’S CUP CENTENARY STATE CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA FEBRUARY 23RD AND 24th 2019 and beyond.
On advice from our Work Health and Safety Consultant the decision has been made to restrict vehicular access to the Boat Park area starting at the Reeconian’s Centre heading north along the lower road to the corner near Murfett’s Bay.
 All trailers are asked to park in the designated parking bays.  One service support/tow vehicle will be allowed into the area and park on the eastern side of the road.
 Clubs and schools are requested to email the make and registration number of this vehicle to admin@rowingtasmania.com.au by February the 18th
This decision has not been made lightly and with reports of cars transiting the area during the regatta this gives concerns for the safety of pedestrians.
During the Australian Master’s Championship traffic was restricted to this area and the general feeling was that it worked very well.
