Message from the RT Chair | Sarah Black resignation

Published Mon 11 Nov 2024

Dear Rowing Community,

Sarah Black, General Manager Operations and Development, has decided to step down from her role within Rowing Tasmania.

We are grateful for Sarah's dedication, passion and achievement which have made an impact on our organisation and the rowing community.

During her tenure, Sarah has accomplished much to strengthen the sport of rowing in Tasmania. She has worked with the Regatta Commission to trial initiatives in the rowing calendar such as the Head of the Huon, mixed-gender events and combined age group racing to boost competition and participation, and the reintroduction of the Indoor Rowing Championships.

Sarah has built positive relationships with clubs and schools and has supported the Board in the governance of Rowing Tasmania.

The Board wishes Sarah well in her future career.

We will act in a timely way to fill the vacant position.

Thank you for you ongoing support as we move forward together in our shared mission to advance rowing in Tasmania.

Regards,
Tina
