John Driessen Coaching session for auction
Published Thu 27 Oct 2016
High Tea for Hope 2016 is an event which is help annually in Hobart and this year is being held on Saturday 29th October 2016 at Blundstone Arena and our theme is Derby Day, It will be a day at the races as our event coincides with the Spring Racing Carnival Derby Day, this will be an exciting event.
Our Derby Day High Tea is this year being held to raise funds to support The Salvation Army Tasmania. The funds we raise this year are for a new project Salvo's School Tour which will educate students about Youth Homelessness.
A new project is being implemented into Tasmania (statewide) “School Tours – Expose and Experience”. This project is designed to show Youth the services of The Salvation Army (TSA) and how they can help us. It also exposes them to the impacts of drugs and alcohol, Domestic Violence and Homelessness on the individual, the family and the community.
To explain the new program being introduced into Tasmania we have attached a brief information sheet about the program we are launching.
I believe that this program addresses our concerns for our children and the youth in Tasmania, it will empower them and by using the money that we raise we will be educating them on the needs of our local community.
As part of our event we are running an online auction which we believe is a fantastic opportunity for the rowing community. We have a coaching session with John Driessen up for auction. Would there be any possibility you could share this among your database. A perfect opportunity for a Tasmanian rower to develop their skills and have a rowing session with one of Tasmania's best rowing coaches.
The details of our auction are below, the auction finishes on Sunday 30 October at 8pm.
