Introduction to Level 2 Coaching Accreditation Course
Rowing Tasmania is holding a practical introduction to Level 2 Coaching Course over the weekend of Saturday 15th July & Sunday 16th July 2017 at Lake Barrington.
The course is ideal for School & Club Coaches with Level 1 whom wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of coaching, but who may not necessarily want to undertake the full Rowing Australia Level 2 Coaching Accreditation Course immediately.
Participating Coaches will come away from the weekend having achieved the
“Tasmanian Intermediate Coaching Certificate” and will be well equipped to subsequently complete RA Level 2 at their own pace.
Leading International Coaches, Brett Crow & John Driessen will be presenting modules together with experienced representative rower and Sports Physiotherapist Annabelle Gibson and other Tasmanian Specialists.
The weekend program will include sessions on:-
- Flexibility & Core Strength
- Rigging
- Safety
- Rowing Technique
- On-Water Coaching & Fault Identification/Correction
- Planning & Preparing an Effective Training Program
The weekend is also a great networking opportunity and comprises a day and a half of face-to-face and group learning as well as practical on-water components.
Cost of the course is $300.00, which includes all course materials, accommodation and meals at Lake Barrington.
Course numbers are limited so please do not delay in responding. Participants are also invited to stay at Lake Barrington on Friday evening for general rowing discussion and fellowship.
