The Austrailan Rowing Championships ended on Sunday after a huge week of competition at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, NSW.

A large contingent of Tasmanian rowers competed across the week-long event, which culminated with the Interstate Regatta on Sunday afternoon.

Tasmania's lightweight crews claimed gold in the Penrith Cup (Angus Paynter, Oscar Birtwistle, Laurie Dean, Alec Paterson) and silver in the Victoria Cup (Phoebe Teale, Sophie Robinson, Anneka Reardon, Verayna Zilm).

Tasmania last won the Penrith Cup in 2012.

Our club and school rowers put in some strong performances at the ARC, with numerous A finals contested and a range of medals won.
