A message from Anthony Edwards

To Everyone in our rowing community,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a rowing farewell and a rowing thank you to those many people I have been associated with over the many years. I first picked up an oar when I was 12 yrs old. Since then, I have passionately and relentlessly driven myself across 5 Olympic Games, then coached and mentored others to achieve PB’s in this great sport of ours. After 20 years as an international athlete along with 14 years in coaching/administration, I have decided I have simply given everything I have and decided that it is time to move on.  I am excited to be starting my new role with Cancer Council Tasmania Managing the Relay for Life program; a job that will challenge me but have a sense of ‘contribution’ to those in desperate need of support.

I won’t be a stranger, I’ll just be watching from afar. For the rowers, aspire to be your best. For coaches, teach and give what you can. The sport is forever grateful.

Time to go………

Regards

Eddy
