Camping requirements at the Lake Barrington International Rowing Course-2021
UPDATE-22/02/2021
Following on from the Tasmanian Club Championships the following IMPORTANT CHANGES have been:
- IF YOU ARE FROM THE NORTH AND NORTHWEST AND HAVE LEFT YOUR CARAVAN, CAMPER OR MOTORHOME AT LAKE BARRINGTON YOU ARE ABLE TO CAMP FOR THIS COMING REGATTA ONLY.
- NO CAMPING IN TENTS, SWAG ETC IS PERMITTED IF YOU ARE FROM THE NORTH OR NORTHWEST.
- CAMPING IS AS NORMAL FOR THOSE FROM THE SOUTH.
- FOR TASMANIAN SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIPS AND THE HEAD OF THE RIVER, CAMPING WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO SOUTHERN SCHOOLS.
THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT UNDER THE WORKSAFE TASMANIA AND COMMUNITIES TASMANIA EXEMPTION WE ARE ONLY HAVE A LICENCE FOR 750 PERSONS AND THIS NUMBER WAS ALMOST EXCEEDED ON THE WEEKEND BY PERSONS NOT REGISTERING.
ROWING TASMANIA WILL NOT PLACE IN JEOPARDY OUR LICENCE TO CONDUCT FURTHER EVENTS
To Camp at Lake Barrington for the remainder of the 2021 season you will be required to:

Register to camp online for EACH regatta.

Ignore the log request and scroll down and register as a guest.
- Rowing Tasmania will conduct spot checks to view your registration document-please retain your QR code which is on this document
- All those camping will be required to observe COVID SAFE Practises during the weekend.
- Each regatta will be reviewed by Officers from Worksafe Tasmania and/or Communities Tasmania and the exemption is subject to both the review and other Public Health Directions at the time of and leading up to the event and may be withdrawn.
