Dear Rowing Community - Sarah Black, General Manager Operations and Development, has decided to step down from her role within Rowing Tasmania. We are grateful for Sarah's dedication, passion and achievement which have made an impact on our organisation and the rowing community.
The World Lightweight Rowing Alliance (WLRA) AUS Lightweight Women’s 8+, featuring Buckingham Rowing Club members Verayna Zilm and Phoebe Teale, embarked on an unforgettable trip to the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) in October.

Rowing Tasmania is excited to introduce the inaugural Head of the Huon to the 2024-2025 rowing calendar. This new 8km long-distance head race will be rowed from Franklin to Huonville on Sunday, 20 October 2024.

The Rowing Tasmania 2024 Awards Night and AGM were held at New Town Bay Rowing Centre on Friday, August 30. At the AGM, two members of the Tasmanian rowing community were awarded Life Membership of Rowing Tasmania - congratulations Phillip Fraser and Paul Newbon.
In July of 2024 at the World University Championships in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, our own Phillip “Fritz” Fraser started his last race as a World Rowing umpire.
The Australian U21 team has retained the Rusty Robertson Trophy with a clean sweep of New Zealand at the Trans-Tasman Regatta on Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra. Tasmania's Ella Spaulding (Mersey RC) was a member of the Australian team. Congratulations Ella!
